Biography work comes alive within a group. It can be used in a multitude of situations: in organizations, workshops and a compliment to retreats to name only a few. Sessions include biography exercises, artwork, conversation, understanding cycles and themes within a lifetime, short talks and group exercises.

When we see and understand not only our lives but the lives of those that we are in relation with; trust, intimacy, understanding, curiosity, validation and acceptance begins to emerge between us. This strengthens and deepens working together in any group or organization. Biography work invites the individual and the group/ organization as a whole to take responsibility for the future, find a new relationship to the past and awaken to the opportunities in the present.

  • “Seeing myself reflected back to me through the biographic work filled me with a deep sense of compassion and love for who I am today and what has brought me here. All of it. I was challenged to rise above my adopted perspective of what has been good or bad and view all as sacred ingredients of my unique story and as happening for me rather than to me. I completed this course during a major turning point in my life and received many important insights that anchored me and helped me navigate the liminal space I found myself in. Seeing myself reflected back to me through the biographic work filled me with a deep sense of compassion and love for who I am today and what has brought me here.”

  • "As I think of Kim and the biographical chalice work she facilitates, the words “deeply personal” instantly come to mind. While some may shy away from this, those who dare to reach deeply within themselves and each other will not be disappointed by what they walk away with. Kim creates a space that is truly supportive and always sensitive to each person’s pace and process. The chalice, with all its reflecting, sharing, listening, and processing, has brought me an immense amount of healing. Sharing my life story with another person illuminated so many things I forgot about or missed completely. The work I did with my partner, who I am now bonded with for the rest of my life, has helped me let go of many limiting beliefs about myself and others that I didn't even know I was holding onto. I think that on some level, most of us know that we do not move through our lives completely alone, but it is a different kind of knowing when you are able to, at the end of all your hard work, hold up the story of your life and see all the magic drawn out in front of you. Also, here is a little poem that came out of me while I was brainstorming. It really sums up how I feel about the work we did. I thought you’d like it.” How exquisite to be cradled as I collapse and expand to witness others as they do the same and to finally see our lives from the perspective of stars
